Harumi Miura is a self- and community-taught fiber artist making everything free-hand and by-hand out of Philadelphia, PA under the brand RUMIMIU. She has been playing with yarn since 2020.

Harumi moves with and towards the concept of wabi-sabi (侘寂), “perfect imperfection”, in her work – roaming expansively without patterns or boundaries, drawn to & inspired by intricacy, flow, structure, and joy. Every one of her pieces is one-of-one and made with exclusively natural fibers, upcycled/recycled textiles, and/or purchased secondhand. Sustainability, boldness, and listening to the body guide her practice.
